Radiology Services

The Radiology Department at Onslow Memorial provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic testing and treatment. With the most modern equipment and technology available, along with an expert staff, our radiology department can view soft tissue, blood vessels and the skeletal system to allow physicians to better diagnose and treat diseases.

Our diagnostic imaging department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In addition to traditional x-rays, our imaging techniques include ultrasounds, CT scans, bone scans, nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiac studies, and MRI.

Along with board-certified radiologists, our radiology services are performed by technical and support staff who are licensed and hold certifications in such areas as CT Scanning, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Vascular Lab and Ultrasound. Registered nurses also assist with certain procedures.

Two-thirds of the tests performed in the radiology department are outpatient procedures or a combination of outpatients and emergency room patients. While we focus on providing expert, efficient care to all patients, emergency patients with urgent needs will take priority over outpatient procedures.
